Bavarian authorities are investigating a Munich construction site arson. This incident involved several incendiary devices thrown onto the property. Police subsequently arrested two individuals following the late-night attack.

The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (LKA) has taken charge of the case. They suspect the incident forms part of a politically motivated assault. This potential target is believed to be a defense company.

Reports place the construction site in front of the Rohde & Schwarz technology group. It is located specifically within Munich’s Berg am Laim district. An LKA spokesman did not publicly name the company directly.

Witnesses observed devices thrown from a car around midnight. They immediately alerted law enforcement. Officers swiftly extinguished one fire that ignited. Fortunately, the blaze caused no major damage.

Another incendiary device required defusal. Special forces handled this task safely. Meanwhile, a 28-year-old and a 38-year-old were apprehended at a nearby gas station. Investigators are now scrutinizing their potential connection to the crime.

This Munich construction site arson occurs amid heightened security concerns across Germany. The nation recently identified Russian agents behind a drone attack at Leipzig airport. This revelation has triggered tense exchanges between German and Russian leaders.

Moreover, several other attacks have targeted German infrastructure this week. Apparent assaults hit major energy facilities in Brandenburg and North Rhine-Westphalia. Additionally, an explosion in Augsburg railway station on Wednesday injured two people and disrupted rail traffic.

However, investigators have not yet clarified if any of these incidents are linked. Responsibility for many attacks also remains unconfirmed. Authorities continue their extensive inquiries.
