Britpop giants Oasis have now officially announced an extensive Oasis 2027 world tour. This eagerly anticipated series of shows follows their highly successful surprise comeback last year.
The once-feuding brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher, plan to perform 38 concerts across three continents. Fans can expect stops in Britain, Europe, and the United States.
The extensive schedule includes 11 dates in their hometown Manchester. Other major European cities also feature prominently. Specifically, Oasis will play two nights in Munich, Germany, on July 2nd and 3rd.
Moreover, the band is set for two dates in Barcelona on July 10th and 11th. They will also headline the Stade de France in Paris for two evenings, July 23rd and 24th. Rome will additionally host two concerts on July 29th and 30th.
The tour begins in Glasgow in May 2027. It will conclude with four grand performances in Knebworth in September. This finale marks 30 years since the duo’s legendary gigs at the venue north of London.
The band, known for hits like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” had been hinting at another reunion tour for several weeks. Their last reunion in August 2024 ended a 15-year feud between the brothers.
That initial return sparked a frantic demand for tickets globally. Over two million people attended 41 shows across Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America. This generated an estimated £300 million ($400 million) in revenue.
However, the previous tour faced criticism over sudden price increases. Eye-watering resale ticket prices even prompted an investigation by the UK’s competition watchdog. Therefore, the band is implementing new measures for the upcoming Oasis 2027 world tour.
Registration for ticket access is currently open until 4pm BST on September 17th. This process is essential for anyone hoping to purchase tickets. Successful registrants will receive a unique code to access sales between September 25th and 27th.
This system aims to reduce long queuing times and combat ticket touting. The band shared the announcement on social media with the celebratory caption, “start the celebrations!”
They added, “After a period of reflection, ‘The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History’ has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people. It shall be a sight to behold.”
